Getting to know our team of Copic Ambassadors

How would you describe your artwork?

Heavily influenced by nature – delicate, intricate and elegant are a few words I would use to describe my style. A lot of time goes into all the fine details of each piece, if it looked like it took forever it’s because it did!

What are you favourite Copic products?

I have so much love for the Copic SP Multiliners – they are the best especially for the intricate drawings I create.

Why do you love Copic?

I love that you can refill them, and nibs are replaceable. I spend on average around 30-40 hours on a single piece of art, so I need something that is high quality, long lasting as well as being comfortable to use. Copic ticks all the boxes for me.

Where do you Copic?

Everywhere! On the floor, at the table, on the road (when I’m not driving) I take my markers with me everywhere.

What is your favourite Copic Colour?

Give me all black everything! This is my first choice, however I do like to throw in some pops of colour now and then – choosing a favourite is hard as it changes depending on my mood, that and we are so spoiled for choice with Copic. If I had to pick one right now though I’m really digging R59 Cardinal.

Which artists are you inspired by?

Oh gosh, there are so many! Off the top of my head – Matt Stewart, Nicholas Baker and Jeska Valk are but a few of the many people I look up to.

When did you first start using Copic?

My first experience with Copic was when I was 9 years old. My Uncle lives in Tokyo, Japan and had sent a 72 pack over to me. I loved those markers like a mother loves her newborn baby. I started using the Copic Multiliners two years ago when I decided to start drawing again and was looking for a good quality pigment for my fine art originals

When you aren’t Copic-ing, what do you do?

As a Full Time artist working from home, drawing takes up a lot of my time. But when I’m not drawing, I enjoy cooking, playing retro video games and I am a huge film buff.
